They say 'don't meet your heroes' because in doing so, we are so often disappointed by the fact that people we admire and look up to are simply just fellow human beings. However, when one of your heroes is someone who embraces their humanity in its fullest, the advice to not meet them is mis-guided. We had the pleasure not only to meet one of heroes, but to sit down and share a conversation with him, which certainly did not disappoint.

Rich Roll has been a source of inspiration for us for a long time. From his athletic pursuits, to his journey with sobriety, his eclectic spirituality, his leadership in the plant-based movement, and of course his incredible podcast. Each of these components or 'pillars' of his life have made Rich a person who is wise, humble, and open to beginning again on the journey of self-discovery and personal growth. And his many supporters are the beneficiaries of his willingness to share his experiences, learnings, victories and failures.

This conversation was a bit different for us, as it was recorded live in front of an audience of a few hundred fellow Rich Roll fans. We were serenaded by the musical stylings of Noble Son, and then took the stage to have a conversation that touched on topics ranging from Spirituality, veganism, athletics, nuance, and much more.

We were beyond thrilled to have this conversation, and are deeply grateful to Stevan Mirkovich and the team at Planted Expo for the opportunity.

We are also very excited to share this one with you!

peace, plants ;)
